Paying attention to the lighting technology that you use on your plants is essential for your marijuana to develop just right during each phase of its growth. A good lamp, a reflector and electrical ballast are, among others, the essential implements for lighting that will meet your needs.
In this video our French colleagues at the La Mota Growshop present the main lighting instruments that you should use to achieve optimal cannabis growth and explain their main features to us. Numerous tools and a great variety of brands await you at our store.
Amongst the lamps that our colleagues propose is a metal-halide model (emitting much more light in the blue spectrum) from the brand Philips Hpi-T Plus, with a power between 250-400 watts, and specifically designed to be used during your plants' growth phase.
You will need to be careful and not touch the bulb directly with your fingers (although we surely don't need to remind you about that). We can suggest others from Philips, like the SON-T-PIA, one of the most effective high-pressure sodium lamps on the market. Its high performance and absence of lead make it an environmentally sound alternative, with prices running from 27.65 - 47.26 euros.
As seen in the video, we can also recommend using Lumatek brand lamps. The Lumatek Dual Spectrum Lamp features 250-1,000 watts of power, sells for up 75.49 euros, and is suitable for the flowering phase. The Sylvania Shp-Ts Grolux, meanwhile, is a high-pressure sodium lamp appropriate for both the growth and flowering phases.
We also present you with a product that is indispensable to assure that everything works properly: electrical ballasts. These include the adjustable electrical ballast by Lumatek (with a three-year guarantee). This item makes it possible to work with different power levels on the same ballast and a single light bulb. It is very versatile as far as the power that it can accommodate, which is certainly a valuable feature, allowing you to customise it to the period of growth you might be dealing with. Its price ranges from 121 to 311.58 euros.
You can also go for a simpler option (non-adjustable), like the B.A.L. digital ballast, that will allow you to maintain your lamp's lumens longer.
Among all the types of reflectors that we have for you at La Mota, we can also recommend the Adjust-A-Wing reflector, made of flexible aluminium, with a double parabola and high reflection level (97%).
You can opt for the Stucco reflector too, with a stuccoed surface to facilitate the diffusion of light and reach all your plants. Made of galvanised sheet metal, it costs only 10.48 euros.
You can also visit our online store and check out all the power cables we have for your reflectors. Some are simple and others are designed for three contacts (and measuring up to 5 meters). To fasten the reflectors you can use the "easy role" system, which makes it possible to precisely adjust the height of your lamp to your plants.
Do you not have the time to analyse the products you need? No problem: you can also get a complete pack. A good example is a 600-watt lighting system with the Philips Sont T Plus (including lamp, reflector, electrical ballast and mains cable), for 121 euros.
If you still have any questions, or want even more options, visit our store. We're waiting for you!
