The harvest period is approaching for marijuana grown outdoors, so it is very important to have at hand all the necessary tools to carry out harvesting as efficiently as possible. In this league, harvesters, cutters and peelers, come into play, substituting the well-worn scissors so that large quantities of product are left completely ready for subsequent consumption. Today, we are recommending the Trimpro and Green Fantasy machines which can be very helpful when undertaking this task.

Trimpro Cutters

Trimpro has become a worldwide standard in the cutter and leaf manicure industry. This is because their products are thought up to treat as delicately as possible a product as delicate as marijuana. In fact, they were first created in order to separate and cut leaves from any plant whilst minimising any possible damage to flowers. The company now sells more than ten different cutters. From these products, we recommend “Trimpro Unplugged’, ‘Trimpro Rotor’ and ‘Trimpo Automatik’.

‘Trimpro Unplugged’ is very silent. It is designed to be “carried around anywhere” and to be used at home, in seedbeds or anywhere where noise must be reduced. The user can control the speed with their own hands, as the makers describe it as the most advanced and efficient machine ever made not requiring electric power. It is manual and so the user must turn the handle in circles in order to power it. You simply need to place the plant on some strips of leather which are moved by the crank handle and push the plant through the mesh, bringing it closer to the blades.

Moreover, the leather strips are usually treated with natural oil so that they maintain their flexibility and in order for the leaves not to stick. The machine is priced at 719.95 euros.

‘Trimpro Rotor’, on the other hand, is an electric cutter which uses leather strips to push the flowers through an anti-adhesive grille and then cuts the leaves with tempered steel blades. It is possible to the collect the final product whilst the machine is still functioning, that is in mid-process. It is priced at around 1,445.95 euros.

However, one of the most convenient marijuana cutting machines is perhaps, ‘Trimpro Automatik’. It is equipped with a very powerful motor with a speed regulator, four adjustable blades at different heights and an airtight circular structure which creates a whirlwind effect. It is one of the fastest tools for cutting the plant. It costs slightly more than the previous machines, 2,238.50 euros; however it has an efficient action with assured quality.

However, if you wish to adhere to more demanding rules in relation to sterilisation and waste management, ‘Motor Med’ may be of great use to you. It is devised to meet the standards of the medical industry and it can be cleaned easily and hygienically. It has been thought up for usage in an industry as serious as medicinal cannabis.

The peeling and cutting process of marijuana plants is delicate, and must be done carefully using the technology most suited to it. Of course, every peeler and cutter must always be used in accordance with laws currently in force and all users should remember that the manufacturers do not bear responsibility for ill usage.

Green Fantasy Peelers

The marijuana peelers manufactured by Green Fantasy are easy to use, practical and high quality. There are three options so that you can choose one according to the requirements of your crop. ‘Evolution Green Cutter’ is a bud peeling machine which allows you to efficiently cut cannabis leaves. It is comprised of a blade made from steel and canadium – a material often used to make knives – which ensures leaves to be cut safely without being damaged. Inside the machine, there is a system which allows you to recover leaves which gradually fall into a mesh bag.

Have you never used a peeler like this? It is very easy, as you can see in the following video, you only need to take a branch of the plant which has just been picked from your crop and move it over the upper mesh several times, turning the marijuana in order to fully benefit from the product. The machine is large enough to be used by several people at once, thus reducing working time.

Of course, you have to be very careful and not use sharp instruments, scissors, or knives near the machine’s upper opening (to prevent them from coming into contact with the blades in the mechanism). Moreover, the manufacturer recommends the use of gloves and safety goggles. Gloves should be fastened securely to the wrist to prevent them from falling into the opening. The machine is priced at around 950 euros.

For a little less money (590 €) you can get hold of the desktop version, the Extreme Green Cutter, a cutter which takes in leaves using the force of air sucked in by a little turbine. A self-adjusting floating blade takes care of the final manicure. Quick and simple.

For more industrial purposes, you can use the ‘Radical Green Cutter’ which has the capacity to cut 12 kilogrammes per hour. Despite its size, it can be comfortably moved around from one place to another, so you can take it to wherever the crop is located.

It is built using duraluminium and comprised of a high performance industrial motor which aids cutting thanks to a steel blade. The blade is resistant to wear, so work will be gentle and continuous, avoiding possible overheating, as the machine constantly cools itself down to prevent excessive heat being from generated by the blade.

However, if you are looking for a more manual and accessible peeler, then you can use the ‘Green Cutter’. It is built with polycarbonate and has an adaptor which can be connected to your vacuum cleaner – indeed, it only works when connected to that machine – and afterwards, you can fit it to a table using, for example, a vice. It is a very modest peeler which will allow you to avoid spending endless hours peeling the crop.

It is used like the previous machine; however, in this case the branches pass through the round cavity. Once used, you simply need to remove the front part, clean it with some degreaser and empty the vacuum cleaner bag.
