Although there is no unanimous opinion on the issue, experts recommend using tweezers to keep from spoiling the product. Some people claim that if precautions are not taken the results can be disastrous.

The American activist Johnny Green shares his experience handling cannabis and explains that one of the best strains he ever came across was known as The Project. Its grower (and his friend) spent a long time taking meticulous care of the plant, and when he got the first results it turned out to be some of the best cannabis that Green had ever tried, he reports.

Green consumed it for over a decade and, as there were few seeds of this strain, decided to save a few. When the grower stopped taking care of the plant, the activist decided to try his luck so that both he and his friends and family could continue to enjoy it.

He didn´t get good results, however, and concluded that he had made the same mistake as any rookie: handling the seeds with his fingers, without any protection. Green wants to make it clear that he did this when he was young and back when there was not yet any quick way to just ask Google or search for a YouTube video showing you the right way to proceed.

Since then he has been in contact with other producers who do not believe that handling seeds with one's bare hands poses a risk. However, he has also spoken with many professionals who are experts in genetics and asked them this question, and they were always of the opinion that it was, in fact, an obvious hazard.

Given the range of opinions, the activist takes the view that, if there is the possibility of damaging one's product, "why take the risk?" As there is no undisputed position on the issue, he recommends using tweezers to avoid bad results. He also advises the very young and those who are starting out in this industry to consult manuals written by experts in order to avoid making the same mistakes and to continue enjoying grass.
